IF, what I heard on TV is true, its a serious f'up from the US & Iraqi Administrations in terms of timing.

Its Friday night PST while I type this. Its Saturday morning in Iraq.

Its also the start of Eid, after pilgrims perform Hajj. It is customary to offer a goat etc as a sacrifice to God (Qurbani) . the slaughtered goat is then part of a feast after some of it has been donated to charitable causes.

Some in the future would say "Saddam was offerred as Qurbani to God" (Qurbani = sacrifice).
