I fixed the link to PM Bob in the board's description. Thanks for pointing that out.

As Jochen mentioned, iHub also has an advanced search available for grandfathered and premium members. Its functionality is similar to SI's advanced search.

We will be adding the ability to page beyond the first 50 hits on both sites. There will also be some cross-site search integration added. For example, Board searches on iHub now list boards for both iHub and SI. There should also be some additional filtering made available, such as the option to limit result sets to board in Investment forums, and letting users have pre-set defaults. We also have projects slated to enable Advanced Search to be invoked (by qualifying users) directly from Subjects and Profiles which would eliminate the need to have the Subject or Member already marked in order to perform a filtered advanced search.

There are no plans to increase the basic search visibility beyond the current year's posts. In the past, Bob would remove the the prior year from the current year database sometime in the 2nd quarter of each calendar year, at which time it becomes accessible only via Advanced Search. Since both sites are now on SQL Server 2005 it is likely that the functionality of the basic full-text search will be changed in 2007 to limit visibility to the most recent 4-6 months.
