I really don't think U is a flash in the pan. The price of U is a very small consideration in operating a nuclear power plant, so the demand is not going to be affected by price until it is much more expensive. The amount of mineable U in the ground is not great, and the explorers that make good finds are going to make out like bandits. To see how sensitive the price is to changes in supply, look what happened when Cameco's Cigar Lake mine was flooded.

The other enormously important factor is the shift in attitudes towards nuclear power as a consequence of the concerns about climate change (whether or not they're well-founded). When well-respected environmentalists come out in favour of nuclear over fossil fueled power generation, you know there has been a significant change.

I now have about a dozen U stocks. A couple are doing well, and I missed buying a few that are doing well. In case anyone is interested, these are the ones I'm holding:

ALZ.V
CHX.V
DML.TO
ERA.AX
FDC.V
JNN.V
PXP.V
SAN.V
SMM.AX
STM.V
ULU.V
URME.OB
URZ
UUL.V
(you could add DJE.V, because it owns about 40% of TUE.V).
