He has the honor of being the great discoverer. Plus he made himself a descendent of Jesus too. Where the fiction blows up. If the Jesus in the story is supposed to be just a man, what's the big deal about his descendents? They treat them like there's some supernatural significance to being his heir. Why if he was just another man?
