Here's my 2007 portfolio with my reasoning for the picks:
(I'm reserving the right to make changes before the deadline; in other words, after I see RKRW's entries)
My pledge is $300. If I win (Ha!), I'll pick my charity then.

ALNY 10% 21.40
COLY 12.5% 9.69
CRIS 10% 1.26
DVAX 10% 9.18
IDP 10% 5.39
IEX.TO 10% .3133
KDUS 10% 1.60
STEM 15% 2.65
TPTX 12.5% 7.38

ALNY: Arguably worth as much as the $1.1 billion Merck paid for RNAI.
COLY: A TLR company, which I'm hoping will follow the lead of DVAX.
CRIS: My biggest loser in 2006. But at this price, the hedgehogs seem a bargain.
DVAX: If all goes well with their hay fever trial results (to be reported soon), other partners will come knocking.
IDP: Another TLR company. Recent deal with Merck gives it credibility.
IEX.TO: A super high-risk Canadian biotech penny stock. They're in the midst of a complex restructuring being held up by IP litigation (one of the lawsuits was just dropped). But they have partnered their RNAi delivery technology with Alnylam (who've said it's progressing well) and have promising preclinical data with their own combo drug using their delivery technology. At US$.3133 (C$.365), IEX's market cap is about US$13 million so the odds look good.
KDUS: I've hacked Icahn's brain (a very messy job) and 2007 will be the year.
STEM: Expect stem cell stocks will have a run in 2007 as Dem Congress gives it a push.
TPTX: Was impressed by their presentation and like the prospects for their migraine drug.

In real life, I currently own all the stocks in my Charity portfolio.
