I wonder if the Genocide of the Armenians, certainly common knowledge at the time, and the actions and influence of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem didn't provide Hitler with the seeds of the holocaust

When Hitler was forming plans for the Final Solution, he cited the example of the Armenian genocide as a precedent, and an explanation why he thought he would get away with it.

What happens if much of the Muslim world has been shaped by a former nazi?

It wasn't just the Mufti. Nasser and Sadat were also Nazis. A German backed coup led by the Mufti tried to depose the British installed king of Iraq, and fomented the Great Farhud (pogrom) of 1941 (the Mufti fled to Berlin after it failed). The Nazis wooed the Arab world all through the 30s to great effect. The Arabs greatly admired Hitler's daring and success, and were common enemies against Britain and France. They did not care about Hitlers abuses against the Germans - the Arab rulers routinely did much the same to their own people - and as for his anti-Jewish campaigns, it was a great positive in their eyes.
