Saddam was a pipsqueak, a nobody - just another lunatic from the Middle East who didn't have a thing to do with 9/11.

Your comment here shows very clearly that you fail to grasp the broader and more significant issue here.

Hitler didn't attack Pearl Harbor, so why did we declare war on Germany?

First of all, it’s not relevant whether that lunatic had anything to do with 9/11, although you are right that he was a lunatic, and a dangerous one at that. The fact that he and his government knowingly and willfully violated each and every one of the 19 conditions of the U.N. 1991 Peace Accord Agreement is the primary reason for our going into that country and removing him from power. This has already been established time and time again, and agreed upon at the onset by even the most extreme liberals like pelosi, kerry, and kennedy. These politicians may deny it all they wish today, but their statements supporting our actions are on official record. Your intense hatred and anger is blinding you to that obvious fact.

I'll be very frank and forthright about this. Visibly, your intense hatred for President Bush has a debilitating effect on you, which you may care to examine at some point; it is interfering with your ability to reason sensibly and logically, presuming that you have the ability at all.

He was a bogey-man to Bush because he was his father's bogey-man - frankly to me, thats kind of a pathetic response to something as monumental as 9/11.

Any attempt to personalize our government's actions is completely childish, shortsighted, and inappropriate. This lunatic had to be removed and eliminated, this is hardly a personal issue.

Truth is Saddam's death is a non event.

What a remarkable comment, and it supports what I've already said to you. Simply stated, his death is a message to all the other anti American and moslum extremist leaders who think they can continue to threaten world peace.

Heres (sic) the real story from today and the one that should truly concern us: The military reported the deaths of six more American troops, making December the deadliest month this year for U.S. forces in Iraq.

We lost more than 8,000 Marines on Iwo Jima in just three weeks. We lost far more than that on the beaches on D-Day in just three hours. Should we have turned back and given up? According to your defective logic, we should have cut and run.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't those responsible for 9/11 still alive and well somewhere on the Pak/Afgani border?

I suggest you lift up your eyes and see the whole picture. Hitler was also alive until the end of WWII, but we still fought against his army. Sure, it would be nice to capture these people, but it's not the primary aim.

If we hunted down and killed or captured Osama Bin Laden and El-Zarwkowi I would call that an excellent use of the country's resources. I would also call that logical.

You would call that logical? Okay, so let's use your logic, then we should not have declared war on Japan for their attack on Pearl Harbor. Instead, we should have simply tried to find the pilots of those Japanese planes that fired upon us and brought them to justice in criminal court. Maybe provide them with an attorney if they couldn't afford one. It took a long time just to find the uni-bomber, finding one single individual is not so easy.

Personally I am still trying to figure out why we have expended so much on Saddam when it was Bin Laden that attacked us.

How can you have missed the past 6 years of history? I suggest you put aside your self-debilitating hatred and anger about President Bush and take a more sobering look at the facts of recent events.

We have exchanged 3000 American lives and counting, 22,000 maimed and injured and counting, plus massive treasure for Saddam's (the destruction of Iraq and loss of Iraqi lives we don't care about so we don't count that) - is that what you are celebrating?

Do you really fail to see the enormous value of establishing a democracy in Iraq, or do you simply deny it?

I’ve pointed out some of the problems you have with your current short sighted view of world events. You are either a child and truly cannot grasp the significance of these events or you somehow lack the cerebral capacity to take hold of the meaning and consequences of these historic facts.

Saddam is dead but I say "where's the beef Bush??????"

And you continue with more of the same gibberish.

In this post, I have made a legitimate effort to address each of your comments, I trust you will review your original position on these issues, and we can certainly discuss them openly. I don't care if you disagree, you're welcome to present any argument you wish, but I strongly urge you to bring yourself up to speed on the facts of history and give up the childish mantras or take it elsewhere.
