I do not use a broker either, but as a yank it was hard to find a place to trade on line. I only found out about PENNtrade ($29,95) a few months ago. I like them best.

I also use TD ameritrade, but they are really hit and miss and whereas Penntrade lets you trade right on the V and T, TD ameritrade says they use the pink sheets? and so, often they do not have a five letter symbol (especially wts). I still am not sure how they work.

Penntrade is always fast, but with TD I can wait for hours sometimes for a trade to execute.

But paying only 10 or 30 bucks instead of hundreds per trade sure has opened up my investing allowing me to trade much more often.
