I still keep thinking the huge oil money in the middle east has to be looking at gold at some point.

We will end up taking the side of the shia in Iraq and at least Saudia Arabia, and syria will support the sunnie in a regional civil war.

If I were them I would sure have a bunch of gold stashed in Switzerland, etc.
