KT,

i saw a soldier's video documentary on his stint in iraq. it wasn't quite as nice as the article you responded to. he said that the company that provides food for the troops gets $25 per plate. he also said the soldiers often took two plates ($50 per meal now) in order to keep their food warmer longer.

he also didn't understand why troops were used to protect that company's cheesecake truck. somehow, he had the gall to think his life was worth more than cheesecake.

he also questioned why guys making $100k+ were driving the trucks instead of military guys... it seems that some troops see that they are treated like 2nd class citizens compared ot the guys making massive dollars working for the military complex. he wondered how that type of outsourcing was saving any money for the american taxpayer.
