What does it take to entice someone at your level to move to Dubai?

If you mean expat professionals, that varies from person to person. I would imagine most expats make at least what they made in their home countries, and the perks (no sales or income tax, free housing, free health care, $300/month for a live in maid, ~50 days vacation per year, etc.) are better than they had back home. In my case I wanted to live overseas again, so that was also appealing.

Few expats that move here want to return home, and those that do return home are often looking to come back after a few years. Professional life here is just much easier than in the US, and opportunities for advancement are much higher due to rapid growth and lack of qualified professional workers. Non-working wives sometimes don't like it because it can be sort of boring and foreign, but most of the working people enjoy it very much.
