FYI, this thread was started in fall 2000 by tradermike_1999 with the title "The Financial Collapse of 2001". Eventually it was renamed to "Booms, Busts, and Recoveries". Although the thread header says it was started 8/28/2004, that is probably the date it was renamed. As you can see here, the first post on this thread was dated 10/22/2000...

Elmat started his "The Financial Collapse of 2001 and Beyond" thread on 09/28/2001, but it didn't get much traction until 2005 when there was some kind of problem on BBR. Perhaps BBR will get a new life as a result of the recent kerfuffle on Elmat's thread. Time will tell.
