This phenomenon is not unusual in this industry. Seen in dozens of times in the last two decades. ;-
In their press release AMD said systems were available immediately with 65nm product. Have you seen one? Can you link to one? Has anyone claimed to have purchased one? I haven't seen any reference to any 65nm product from anyone. This appears to be a fraud by AMD.
