Fire me ..... please !! HD CEO quits/resigns .. Under the agreement with the board, Nardelli will receive a severance package valued at about $210 million, the company said. Why fire the guy ??? It would have been cheaper to have kept the SOB on the job ... I have a real problem with this crap .. If you're running a private company .. Pay yourself whatever you can get away with .. But a 'public' company is owned by you and me and there needs to be limits on executive pay .. Especially 'severance' packages .. At a minimum, it can't be a better deal to quit your job than to stay in it .. Triff ..
