A youngster (age 11) who was displaying his new Model 700 Remington .270 last week at a Christmas party was handling his rifle safely. I told him about my rule, that all guns are always loaded all the time until you prove otherwise. Later, I questioned him to see if he remembered.

He paraphrased: "Assume all guns are loaded and behave accordingly."

I gave him an A.
