You and slan both run good threads. You both seem to draw the best thinkers, which in turn draws other good thinkers.

One of my favorite books is Watership Down. Sort of a Greek type parable where each person or rabbit-lol- contribute their particular skills for the good of the whole.

I think global warming is pertinent to a uranium thread because if it is a serious a threat as many think then nuclear reactoras are simply the only out for the human speiecs has. Understand many experts think the "tipping point could be as little as 10 years!!"

As a hard core card carrying liberal I am amazed at how readily the liberals/environmentalists are changing their attitude about the use of nuclear reactors.

They call the liberals "the reality based community" and the reality is that nuclear reactors seem necessary and the "greenies" are coming around much more passively than I would have ever thought. What are the options?

I was in graduate school at the University of washington when they stopped building all the nuclear reacters in the northwest. Truth be told, it was the environmental lobby that stopped that and caused all work on the several nuclear reactors to come to a screeching halt and a loss of billions of dollars in defunct bonds.

I do not think a single nuclear reator was tried to be built in the US after that.

As I am learning, there is not much uranium and it is pretty much completely inelastic, so the price of uranium could literally go to the moon before this run is over with.

Talk about a secular bull market-lol. Because the environmetnal lobby is worldwide today and if they give nuclear reactors their blessing it will dramatically increase the building of them.
