I remember there being a story about it in my children's elementary school readers, along with information about the "holiday." Somehow I don't remember the information being anything like the information you posted. I remember it being projected as such a wonderful celebration. But then again what can you expect from a good Catholic school!!??!! (I can't believe your Son is in school, why it seems only yesterday!!!! What grade is he in now??)
