William,

Sorry about the delay - I have just returned from my vacation to upper Michigan. Absolutely beautiful.

<<As I understand it and please correct me if I'm wrong rgfx doesn't have any proprietary technology that would bar direct competition from much better heeled companies. Xaar appears to have key patents that are available under licence to anyone>>

I took a good look at Xaar and have come to the conclusion that any team of Joe Shmoes with a good understanding of how printing works can put together a printer that can compete with anyone. There are all kinds of parts floating around out there that just need to be put together. Osicom (NASDAQ:FIBR) makes network cards that can be adapted to most any printer. RGFX R&D team was extremely efficient while putting together the P5k and prior to the announcement of it, a look at R&D costs would lead one to believe that they weren't working on anything. Price is another factor though. Do you know how much the Xaar heads cost? I don't but they look pretty expensive but they do have several advantages over the NKOT heads that RGFX uses.

As for your email, well, your right about my clarity of just what I am expecting this quarter. I think that the analysts are way too conservative and we can beat $.11 without a problem. I think that RGFX may bring in as high as $.15 but many customers will probably wait for the 6 color model of the P5k to ship. Q3 is usually pretty good for high margin software sales and the DCS is still around. The thing is - I really have no idea how well they might do. The market for the P5k is in the thousands and if they sell a few hundred this quarter, well - do the math.
