One of the absurd thing TD does is that say you have cash in your CDN dollar acct. And you bought US stock. They charge you interest because they said you have no money in your US dollar acct. So they made money on interest eventhough you don't need to borrow money for margin etc. The only way to avoid it is to convert your currency
