What part of my conclusion is delusional? We won, Saddam lost, and the Iraqis will be whatever they make of themselves. That's not delusional, that's reality.

If what you say is true, why is everyone including Bush wringing their hands over Iraq? Why was the GOP put out to pature this past election?

If not delusional, your conclusion is rather pollyanish and overlooks some important facts like that the US is afraid to withdraw for fear that the country will fall into a destructive civil war if hasn't done so already.
