There was an article in the marketing section of the WSJ today about investing. The headlines said something like: "To get ahead cut your losers." Actually it was far sexier than that, but the idea was simply sell the dogs and let the winners run.

Frankly that is the number one thing that separates amateur investors from those that act like professional investors.

I sometimes forget how to behave, but I know the rules of the dance.
