Some of the worst mosquitoes I ever was attacked by were in Canada north of Lake Superior. I don't know if there are any diseases that the species living there carry, but you don't need a very warm climate to have mosquitoes. Also had bad mosquitoes at elevation 7,000 feet in the Cascades--not everywhere but locally near springs.

But like you I have begun to wonder if maybe the advantages of global warming should be considered. I hate the idea of its happening, but it may be too late to avoid.

Meantime, as a uranium investor, I hope nuclear comes back in a big way, of course.
