I don't get your point about the "stupidity" of the United States vis-a-vis the execution of an Iraqi citizen condemned to death by a duly constituted Iraqi court, a body of the sovereign state of Iraq.

I could understand a layperson not comprehending issues like sovereignty and jurisdiction but you're well educated with respect to these matters.
