TLC--I am reminded of some words by Greg Brown.
He is a Midwestern singer/songwriter. He said as near as I can remember "The trouble with chickens is they look at people like they don't matter. And we don't, but nobody wants to hear it from a chicken."
I suspect TLC most of your problems with grandiosity stem from your position on the food chain, you are ranked under such mighty creatures as the chihuahua, pekinese and miniture poodle. When the local yap dog and lap dog population is your lord and devourer, I can see the psychological damage that could result.
For some reason the old insult of "Go suck eggs," is really appealing here.
