KOPP INVESTMENT ADVISORS LLC filed Form SC 13G/A on 01/05/07

This filing shows that...

Kopp Investment Advisors, LLC (I.D. No. 76-0744828)
beneficially owns 6,460,049 shares representing 6.6% of the outstanding shares.

Kopp Holding Company, LLC (I.D. No. 52-2421382)
beneficially owns 6,460,049 shares representing 6.6% of the outstanding shares.

Kopp Holding Company (I.D. No. 41-1875362)
beneficially owns 6,710,049 shares representing 6.8% of the outstanding shares.

LeRoy C. Kopp
beneficially owns 8,070,049 shares representing 8.2% of the outstanding shares.

=====
So, does anyone understand whether these holdings are additive such that the four entities together control about 28% of the outstanding stock? Or does this represent some sort duplicative reporting of the same shares?

In either case, I'm glad to see that Kopp is still a very significant shareholder. I originally got interested in this company well over 10 years ago (when it was DMIC) due to an article in Businessweek that mentioned Kopp's big investment in the company. I did well with this investment during the first few years, but I have not fared so well since the stock market bubble burst in 2000 and the STXN share price came crashing down from its peak of $49/share in Spring 2000.
