It immediately occurred to me upon reading the reference piece that the administration is being altruistic and benevolent, fine, but at the same time it is equally intent at taking the luster off of China's recent similarly -altruistic and -benevolent overtures to many of the continent's member states. I came across an interesting piece that addresses a related theme that points to one of China's trade involvements with Nigeria only yesterday, here:
