Kerry spoke at the original Earth Day celebration. Folk-rocker Jonathan Edwards played, among others. I was there. I didn't say he founded it, or that it was the only celebration, maybe not even the actual founding, but the first public Earth Day party, and Kerry was the main politician involved. It was either '71 or '72. Kerry made quite an impression. You could tell even then, this is a man who should be president.
Whatever the details, not only was Kerry 35 years ahead of his time on military matters, but the environment as well. Give the man huge credit, though he is certainly not the only hero.
Meanwhile, you are guilty of lying again about and smearing a great American, while defending proven political criminals. Shame on you big-time.
You should ask yourself what exactly you love so much about quagmire wars which destroy our military (Vietnam, Iraq), massive pollution and wilderness removal, and corruption in government (Bush, cheney, Delay, etc.).
What is your issue anyway? Are you just one of the brainwashed dittoheads, a group who bears some ressemblance fo the citizen supporters of german Nazism. They all cheered the tough-talking autocrat and war-maker too. |
