You haven't studied your US history. FDR got us out of the Depression. Period. No debate. His policies did it.

And the rightwing thinks those policies were "communist". Which in an ideal sense, they were, because communism and socialism really just mean communal government sharing programs. But in the real world communist governments tend to turn into military dictatorships.

So our greatest president was a kind of a "communist". And so was Jesus Christ telling us we have to share our wealth and that the rich have to give it all ton the poor. Ironic, huh? Maeks you wonder why there was a Cold War. Maybe so that former Bushie arms merchants could get richer and McCarthy types could push military-industrial fascism and Big Brother paranoia, the same crap Dick Cheney types love so much. Be afraid, be very afraid. The Wizard Of Oz syndrome.

You should read Johnny Cash's autobiography. About how his poor farming family, like millions of others, was saved by FDR's social programs. Communalistic, he called it.

Of course the rightwing only cares about the rich, not small farmers or anyone else, but you should care about the workingclass for a chance too once in awhile. They are the backbone of our country, not the greedy Wall Street CEO's and speculators.
