Homeland Integrated Security Systems Tests Solar Powered Charging System for Cyber Tracker
ASHEVILLE, NC, Jan 08, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: HISC) announced today that the Company has installed its patent pending Cyber Tracker along with a solar charging system on a vehicle for initial testing and evaluation. The company reports increasing demand for its product on vehicles and other assets that have no independent power source.
The addition of a solar powered charging system allows the Cyber Tracker to be installed on applications, such as trailers, recreational vehicles and other assets that do not have a permanent power source to recharge the system. According to the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics, there were 5,092,232 commercial trailers registered in United States in 2004. In addition, the website Truckinfo.net reports that 280,000 new trailers are sold each year.
