They are without doubt what I consider the worse nuisance tree around. You can't burn them for firewood until they age for about 10 yrs. At least that is what I'm told. I know you can't burn them after a yr of aging. They just hold too much water. And they are fragile as heck. A little wind and down they go. Heavy too!
