It is not a fascination at all, if you know the history you would not be say it. The US put Saddam in for a reason. He did not just became a tyrant overnight. He was hand picked for the job because he was a tyrant. You might ask why a tyrant. To protect US interest in Iraq, i.e. OIL, otherwise the oil contract would have been pulled out of multinational hands and put into Iraqis state control.
Just look what happened when the US army entered Baghdad. The first thing they did is secure the oil ministry building.
So pleeeeaaase do not tell us that the US is their to save and free the Iraqis from their tyrant, it would be more appropriate if you say FREE THE OIL FROM THE IRAQIS. |
