Yep. Republicans have been trying to kill SS for generations. They never come up with a good reason for why they should kill it since it:

- creates a huge slush fund for them to steal from
- is much more efficient and low risk than private plans
- raised and still raises seniors, orphans, the disabled from poverty - egads what a horrible thing
