Heard today when Rush read an article that we only had 15,000 troops in Baghdad right now. Baghdad is evidently about the same size and population as NYC....

Any truth to this number?

That may be a fair estimate of the number living in Baghdad. There are many more on bases in close proximity who can conduct operations in the city.

Keep in mind that Iraq is approx the size of California.

Perspective: More than 2,500 Americans were murdered in California in 2005.
