All GPS related stocks hurt by GRMN share price drop - unjustifiably: Garmin cut at Merrill, competition, valuation cited LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Merrill Lynch cut Garmin (GRMN : garmin ltd ord News , chart, profile, more Last: 51.82-2.18-4.03% 10:52am 01/09/2007 GRMN51.82, -2.18, -4.0%) , a provider of location-based devices, to neutral from buy, saying it expects the company to lose three percentage points of market share in 2007 as a barrage of new devices are introduced. In addition, the broker told clients that while it expects stellar sales in the fourth quarter, it believes the strong results are already discounted in the share price. Merrill noted that since black Friday the shares have risen nearly 10%.
