Why, you ask? Excepting those who dwell in the pristine gardens of peace (I’ve never met one), it is my observation that it is the unexamined nature of human existence to harbor animosity rising to aggression. Throughout history and to this day enmity and vindictiveness, wanting ascent to hostility for and among ones fellows, has been the call of the masses who divide, differentiate, and strategize in unending fashion. A rationale for rancor that needs little or no justification. Should we ask, 'Why not?' A general regard for the well being of self and the other is a restorative strand of purpose woven through the fabric of humanity defining the value, direction, and attitudes which can motivate behavior in a purposeful realm of well-being. The principle nature of regard for the well being provokes attitudes and action in support of a healthy humanity and attitudes and action in opposition to that which is harmful.
