You seem to be unnecessarily reminding us that dictators, when they fall, can sometimes be put to death via popular rage, in grisly spectacles. Presumably the United States of America, in whose custody Saddam remained until we turned him over, had the power to see that Saddam Hussein was dispatched in a way most congruent with our own long term interests. You seem to be applauding the Administration for doing otherwise. (The executions that followed the Nuremberg Trials were not grisly, jeering spectacles. That served our interests.)
