ChinuSFO It's a little hard to keep to only Barack as President when this Presidential election involves so many candidates. When you banned American Spirit, I hoped we would not be rehashing the swiftboat allegations over and over again. It is like a broken record-----and after awhile one turns off. If Kerry should become the Democrat nominee his Vietnam record would likely come up again in the general election. That is in the future and not now unless Democrat Candidates want to revisit those allegations now. As the interest in 2008 grows, more and more potentials are considering running. Former Governor of Virginia Jim Gilmore has announced an exploratory effort for running on the Republican ticket. See the following link: news.yahoo.com When he ran for Governor, he used one single item to win----eliminating the Virginia personal property tax on vehicles---------people were finding it prohibitive to buy a new or used vehicle-----we had sales tax and also personal property tax. So we had double taxation. He kept his message simple and won rarely deviating from that main issue. Gilmore is a lot like Senator James Webb in that he draws from both parties which is why he was elected. This could even be a tactic that Obama could use----zeroing in on a main issue and running on that issue. mj
