The executions that followed the Nuremberg Trials were not grisly, jeering spectacles.

How would we know?

Nobody had cell phone cameras back then.

I am sure that, at a minimum, it was a grisly spectacle. Hard to imagine a hanging that isn't.

What would it take? Velvet rope? White gloves? Wouldn't that just be sugar coating the inevitable?

It's hard to kill another human being. For most of us, it goes against our natural instincts.

It's widely reported that the first time you kill someone, you feel sick for a long time, and most who have killed more than one report that they never forget any of the faces.
