Alien Technology Corporation Names George W. Everhart Chief Executive Officer
MORGAN HILL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alien Technology Corporation today announced that the company’s Board of Directors has appointed George W. Everhart to the position of Chief Executive Office and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Everhart brings to Alien® over 25 years of executive leadership experience with specific expertise in leading high growth phases of industry leading technology companies including 3Com Corporation, Fujitsu Personal Computer Corporation, and Apple Computer.

Everhart has held CEO and sales and marketing executive positions with both small startup companies in emerging markets, and large multinational companies, experiencing a rapid pace of growth. Everhart recently held CEO positions with early stage startup companies, SealedMedia and Onesecure, where he led successful company funding and expansion. Previously, Everhart was Sr.VP, Worldwide Sales & Service for 3COM Corporation, managing worldwide sales and a 1,000 person service organization. Prior, Everhart was President & CEO, Fujitsu Personal Computer Corporation, where he led the company’s market entry and rapid growth in the PC business. Everhart also held a series of executive leadership positions with Apple Computer during the company’s fast growth years, 1987-1996, including VP US Sales, VP & GM PC Business Division, and VP Business & Government Sales. Everhart’s early career included marketing, sales, and business management positions with The Braegen Corporation and Memorex Corporation.
