It's hard for me so far to identify a single company that is dedicated - best of all - having a monopoly over certain sub-area in IPTV, and under-followed.

They are either large and diversified companies such as Cisco, TXN, or private companies, which are hard to follow and invest. Even if there were one, it probably had already got too expensive.

In 1995-1996 just about the time I registered with SI, I found PMCS who met that criteria and had a monopoly in ATM Physical Layer chip. I invested heavily, posted about 88 messages on SI, and followed it from 6 until it reached 35. But soon it reached about 250 in 1999-2000 before it collapsed to the current level 6-10.

In terms of chip company, I now own SiRF and MU.
