Nurturing is hard work- and having the sap sucked out of you makes you sleepy, and anemic, and can give you lots of other problems. I didn't have a very hard time being pregnant, fairly easy in fact, and AMAZINGLY easy deliveries, but I have friends who threw up for months, looked like crap, and had terrible pregnancies, that ended with C-sections. Ouch. Nothing like having your abdomen cut open, to make all that nurturing real.
I have enjoyed having the sap sucked out of me, breastfeeding my children, and having them around- but I wouldn't want to force bearing children, delivering them, or raising them, on another woman. What I might be or do personally really isn't the issue. In fact, imo, this is really all about NOT knowing the circumstances of other people- and letting people make their own decisions. That's all I'm saying. Now you can say you want to force women to bear and deliver children, even if they don't want them, regardless of their circumstances, but I just can't bring myself to ever say that. If you say that, I disagree with you. Nothing more to be said, really. |
