do me a favor and take a look at SCMR. they have a market cap of just about $1b, no debt and more than $900m cash even after spending about $70m cash to buy a smaller co. with a good business book. their top line is growing in the high teens but they are in the latter stages of an option back-dating probe...several negative ratings on the street but little following...i think the cash is real and will survive the options deal even if they take non-cash charge. the founder is deshpande (sp) who was involved in cascade / ascend in the late 90s. i made $$$ on that one so i'm prejudiced in his favor... i've also been buying cien...and holding 80% of my lvlt....i didn't buy xoho because i can't get the right charting data on bb stocks...
