GHDX going up 13% on the news: Genomic Health cancer test wins UnitedHealth contract CHICAGO, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Genomic Health Inc.(GHDX.O: Quote, Profile , Research) said on Wednesday it signed a national contract with a unit of UnitedHealth Group (UNH.N: Quote, Profile , Research) for a test that predicts whether patients with early breast cancer are likely to benefit from chemotherapy. Genomic Health said its Oncotype DX test service quantifies the likelihood of breast cancer recurrence and whether chemotherapy would help. The agreement establishes coverage for women with early-stage breast cancer across all of UnitedHealthcare's plans. Coverage is set to become effective for claims for services performed on or after Jan. 3, 2007. The company said it now has contracts for the test to cover more than 98 million patients yahoo.reuters.com
