Perhaps the minimum wage should be increased, that way more Americans would be interested in doing the crappy jobs only immigrants seem willing to do.

That might just increase illegal immigration, as illegal immigrants might be more willing to do the job off the books at a lower rate then the new higher minimum wage.

Or if the increase in the minimum wage is modest it will likely have almost no effect on immigration.
