Albert, I really don't know. But, if Intel can make a 300 Mhz PII in 0.35u in '97, I'm sure they can make a 400 Mhz Deschutes in 0.25u in '98. And, if you look at the power reduction they managed to acheive in taking the Pentium form 0.35u to 0.25u (just 3.9 watts at 233 Mhz!), you can bet your bottom dollar that we will see similar reductions witht he Deschutes. I am an AMD investor, not an Intel investor, but the products that we base our investment decisions on need to be looked at with a critical (disattached) eye. This said, I still think AMD and the K6+ will be a big success in '98 (assuming a smooth transition to 0.25u; could be a big if). But hey, we're all just throwing the dice. Pravin
