You posted this to get us worked up, right?

Let us suppose that in fact there is only a small chance that global warming is caused by CO2 emissions. Ignoring the problem is still too risky, since if we are wrong we are doomed.

Surely, it makes sense to start taking steps now to reduce the growth in global CO2 output (just in case the incredible collective brains at "Casey Research" have got it wrong). I think I would rather base the survival of the planet on the considered opinion of the vast majority of scientists around the world than on a small group of renegades and a crackpot politician from an energy producing state. My question to all the doubters of global warming is: have you considered the implications and consequences of being wrong on this issue?

In any event, it seems to me the material debate is over. I understand Exxon Mobile has now admitted that CO2 emissions are partly responsible for global warming. Presumably, they will now withdraw their funding for some of the alternative "science".
