Now if the governments in this country had any brains ... sigh... they would put this issue to positive use.. limit the amount of new blacktop.. develop real inter city rapid transit like they have in France and Japan.. build proper underground subways that go somewhere in the major cities (Only Montreal had one of any note).. improve light rail services... eliminate long haul trucking when rail can be used.. reduce downtown taxes to encourage business.. ... and lots more .. but they won't.. We'll get more buses, streetcars and Big Box malls.... and more blacktop...
