Elroy, Your point is valid and I agree with you, however, the rest of the world was against going to Iraq.

That may be, but the part of the rest of the world that really mattered in the decision was the Iraqis, both those inside and outside Iraq. It doesn't really matter what Bolivians thought about the decision by the coalition to remove Saddam's regime.

What do you think the Iraqi population would have said on the issue had they been given a chance? Would Iraqi society voted for a>forced liberation by US military, or b>the endless status quo, had they done a one man one vote thing in early 2002? I have a feeling they would have voted yes - get the hell rid of Saddam's regime, but that's just speculation on my part.

I do not think the rest of the world wants to get involved in Iraq's mess.

Of course not. That's why I say the Iraqi's opinions are the ones that count.

Also, indirectly they are telling the US, "you want to be superpower, than solve your own problems. You (the US) did not and will not share the wealth, so suffer in the crap that you created".

The US doesn't just "want to be" the superpower, it is. As for solve your own problem, of course, we will. As for share the wealth, this seems to be your own pet peeve. The US has done more to raised the global standard of living than perhaps any other country in history. Without the US economy and its relation to China (and to a lesser degree India) the economic miracles of those two countries over the past 10-20 years (which have lifted BILLIONS out of dirt poor subsistence existence) could not have occurred. So, rest of the world, you're welcome for the wealth we have helped you to create for yourself.

IMO, all the that time and effort that was invested in Iraq, could not only solved the ME problem but also the hunger and the aids problem in the world.

But of course had the US not invaded Iraq those time and resources would not have been put to solving the ME's and the world's problems. They would have been put toward improving the lives of Americans, as they were American time and resources.

Priorities of the US are a bit out shape.

The political structure of the US allows a regular change of government every few years, so if you are correct that they are out of shape, they will correct themselves. A shame the people of the ME can't get that basic process implemented in their own societies.
