Communications Manager

Job Description:

We are now seeking a CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER to join our ever-growing company.

This newly created position will report to the Senior Director of Communications and work closely with Product Marketing team. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated first-rate communications professional to immerse him/herself in the company and develop customer communications programs that are consistent with overall corporate messaging. He/she will spearhead new initiatives, such as web chats and satellite town hall meetings, to connect leadership to associates. This person will be responsible for the development of communications strategies and participate in advertising and marketing projects. Responsibilities include developing communications plans, writing and distributing customer newsletter, creating customer case studies, working with the product marketing team to generate customer, media and investor ready collateral and developing corporate presentations.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
Build client relationships; develop deep understanding of varied and complex communications needs of customers.
- Create customer case studies.
- Maintain global customer database.
- Introduce breakthrough communications ideas to support internal executive positioning, brand management, values-based communications, etc.
- Attend customer meetings, internal weekly global conference calls, strategic planning sessions and other team gatherings in order to become fully immersed in business.
- Respond to questions and requests from global sales teams and influence them regarding current and potential processes and vehicles.
- Create customer newsletters and corporate presentations.
- Lead research and analysis into the effectiveness and results of any recommended communications vehicles.
- Develop communications strategies and plans that are consistent with the company goals and supportive of delivering measurable results. Review and approve all implementation components of any client approved communications initiatives.
- Develop co-marketing plans with customers that integrate all aspects of communications
- Maintain current and accurate documentation, and coordinates and/or perform testing of new communications vehicles. Works with other communications colleagues in planning/scheduling and sourcing resources.
- Develop action plans and project review timelines. Acts as liaison with outside vendors and agencies as appropriate in support of clients.
- Create and maintain up-to-date status reports for all projects. Create and maintain wrap-up and executive summary reports that provides measurement analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Participate in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards and innovations, trends and best practices in order to strengthen organizations and technical knowledge, as well as customer relationship.
- Maintain Sonus’ relationship with 3rd-party organizations that it is a member of in the industry.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Liberal Arts or a similar field.
- At least five years of professional experience.
- Excellent writing skills and top-notch communications skills.
- The ideal candidate will be a good listener, thoughtful, well-organized, and detail-oriented with strong proofing/editing and research skills.
- Should possess an appropriate sense of urgency and the professionalism to handle sensitive information and be able to deal with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Must be a team player who exhibits a passion for communications, a willingness to learn and a desire to contribute to and grow with a dynamic organization.
- Candidates must be familiar with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and comfortable using new technologies.
- Familiarity with telecommunications or high-technology firms helpful
