To 'Longs' on 'Bolivia Silver Mines Industry' -
thanks for your info -

I think that we are faced with "a higher tax rate factor"
that is a strategy Bolivia want but the news media played -
it up to put in fear and pain.... in many investors and
its has harmed the mining industry s/p market -

If we compare the corporate tax rates in Latin America -
Bolivia tax rate has been low -

Please, DD....
latinbusinesschronicle.com

Although back in 2006 when the news media trumpeted out
fear about nation---zation? the facts are not correct -
first announced - my understanding of Bolivia's strategic
plan after some dd.... outlined -

1) "The scale of the complementary Mining Tax (ICM)
will not be changed."

2)"The current Profit Tax is 25 %.
Companies have the option to elect to increase
the Profit Tax rate they pay to 30 % in exchange
for a 10 year guarantee of tax stability."

The (corporate)tax rates for Latin American countries -
in 2006 show you will see that Bolivia is near the bottom
as listed for corporate tax rates.

An increase of 5 % as indicated above or perhaps even
10 % on the corporate tax rate could be a reality
bringing Bolivia up to the top of the list for corporate
taxes paid in Latin American countries?
But all mining managements have been invited for discussions
and it was the same for the energy industry last year and
all left the meetings and were pleased and happy friends.

Perhaps others on the bb have some additional insight
in this area but the Bolivian tax rates are still lower
than in North America and with the lower wage cost and
much less of red enviro. restr. bureaucracy of 666 rules
which US & Can has become much closer to the red
bolshevikz etc. -
dd.... our system and compare -

I still prefer Bolivia to be a very LT friendly 888 country -
for our mining industry -

Bob
God Bless
